Subsequently, he received his Doctorate in Public\n                                    Health from the UCLA School of Public Health, USA (1991).\n                                    He was Dean, College of Health Sciences, University of\n                                    Sharjah, UAE (2004-2006) and Secretary, International\n                                    Epidemiological Association (2002-2008). She obtained her training from several institutions in different countries (France, USA, Japan, Germany, Sweden, Canada and Finland).<\/p>\n                                <p> She is the PI of several projects funded from different sources nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n                                <p>Internationally, she is a member of several Committee and Associations including Health Literacy Working Group, WHO Global Coordination Mechanism for The Prevention and Control of NCD (GCM\/NCD), WHO since 2016, the Jury of the UNESCO &#8211; International Prize for Research in Life Sciences (Since 2009), Collegium Ramazini, Carpi, Italy since 2006.<\/p>\n                                <p> She has more than 100 International and national publications.<\/p>\n                                <p>Nationally, she is a member of several Committee at the Ministry of Health, Academy of Science and Technology and the National Women Council.<\/p>\n                                <p>Professor Anwar received several international prizes and awards including Marie Curie, FP7, EC, (2008), Dr. A. T. Shousha Foundation Prize (WHO) for 2001, Fogarty International Fellowship Award, (1986) and the CEES Award, France (1986).   preventive cardiology, and Professor and Director, Heart Disease\n                                    Prevention Program, Division of Cardiology at the University of\n                                    California, Irvine, with joint appointments in epidemiology and\n                                    UCLA and UC Irvine and population health and disease prevention\n                                    at UC Irvine. He holds MPH and PhD degrees in epidemiology from\n                                    Yale University and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology,\n                                    American Heart Association, National Lipid Association, American\n                                    Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), and International Academy\n                                    of Cardiovascular Sciences.  He is currently president of the\n                                    Interamerican Heart Foundation serving Latin America, and is a past\n                                    president of the ASPC and Pacific Lipid Association. Dr. Wong has\n                                    primary research interests include subclinical atherosclerosis, where\n                                    he did some of the original work with coronary calcium and cardiovascular\n                                    disease over 30 years ago, and epidemiology and management of dyslipidemia\n                                    and diabetes in relation to cardiovascular disease.  He has been an\n                                    investigator \/ collaborator with many NIH studies including the Framingham\n                                    Heart Study, Women\u2019s Health Initiative, and Multiethnic Study of\n                                    Atherosclerosis, and has conducted numerous clinical trials involving\n                                    dyslipidemia.  He has authored over 400 papers and co-edited seven textbooks,\n                                    including the Braunwald Companion on Preventive Cardiology and two editions\n                                    of the ASPC Manual of Preventive Cardiology. Dr. Fehmi joined the faculty of Henry Ford Hospital as a Senior Staff Physician in the Department of Medicine.  His academic interests and work include Home Dialysis Modalities, the Mineral and Bone Disorders in Chronic Kidney Disease, Telemedicine and Connected Health, and the application of the Lean methodologies in healthcare.<\/p>\n                                <p>Dr. Fehmi serves on several committees and boards within and outside the Henry Ford Health System, and is involved in various initiatives ranging from scientific and research projects, to Diversity in the workplace and community outreach. As Director of Medical Education at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Dr Fehmi established the Annual Connected Health Symposium hosting national and international speakers both from various academic institutions and Healthcare Industry, and covering numerous themes where health and wellness intersect with AI, connectivity and IOT.<\/p>\n                                <p>Dr. Fehmi is a member of the Board of Directors at Eversight International, the Medical Advisory Board of Greenfield Health Systems, the Advisory Board of the Michigan National Kidney Foundation, the Annual ACCESS Conference on Health Issues in Arab Communities Scientific Board, and the Steering Committee of Global Health Research Management &#038; Solutions.<\/p>\n                                <p>Dr. Fehmi is actively engaged in several professional societies and organizations, he is a Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation, and a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology.
