Professor Anwar received several international prizes and awards including Marie Curie, FP7, EC, (2008), Dr. A. T. Shousha Foundation Prize (WHO) for 2001, Fogarty International Fellowship Award, (1986) and the CEES Award, France (1986). Prof. Hassan is a public health professor with three decades of experience in higher education. He assumed several academic roles in universities across the Middle East, including Dean and Provost positions. Currently, he is the Vice-Chancellor of International Cooperation at Hamadan Bin Mohammed University in Dubai, the first accredited online university in the GCC region.

Throughout his career, he established face-to-face and online academic degree programs, implemented initiatives for integrating ICT in higher education, implemented best practices for online learning, and established joint-degree programs with international universities. He implemented several faculty development programs to support faculty transition from conventional to online delivery. Currently, he leads the efforts of a group of international experts to develop and implement a benchmarking framework for technology-enhanced higher education. Dr. Nathan Wong is a cardiovascular epidemiologist, specialist in preventive cardiology, and Professor and Director, Heart Disease Prevention Program, Division of Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine, with joint appointments in epidemiology and UCLA and UC Irvine and population health and disease prevention at UC Irvine. He holds MPH and PhD degrees in epidemiology from Yale University and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, National Lipid Association, American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), and International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences. He is currently president of the Interamerican Heart Foundation serving Latin America, and is a past president of the ASPC and Pacific Lipid Association. Dr. Wong has primary research interests include subclinical atherosclerosis, where he did some of the original work with coronary calcium and cardiovascular disease over 30 years ago, and epidemiology and management of dyslipidemia and diabetes in relation to cardiovascular disease. He has been an investigator / collaborator with many NIH studies including the Framingham Heart Study, Women’s Health Initiative, and Multiethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, and has conducted numerous clinical trials involving dyslipidemia. He has authored over 400 papers and co-edited seven textbooks, including the Braunwald Companion on Preventive Cardiology and two editions of the ASPC Manual of Preventive Cardiology. He is also on the editorial board of several cardiology and diabetes-related journals, including serving as co-editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology. He is also an honorary member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and recent recipient of the ASPC Joseph Stokes MD Award for lifetime achievement in preventive cardiology and lifetime achievement award in clinical research from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

Dr. Alaa Elghamrawy is a Consultant Cardiologist He was nominated as th Director of Rheumatic Heart Disease Center in Mahalla (2006-2018) and as a member of the National Committee of RHD in Ministry of Health and Population. Dr. Alaa Elghamrawy is the founder of the National Rheumatic Heart Control Program in Egypt and was the director of the program till the year 2018. He was awarded the WHO 2015 State of Kuwait Prize for Research in Health Promotion for his work in establishing Egypt’s Rheumatic Heart Disease program. and member of expert network of Rheumatic Heart Disease EMRO

Professor of Occupational Medicine and Consultant of Cardiology. Acting head of Occupational Health and Industrial Medicine Department, Past Vice Dean of HIPH and Coordinator of many activities for the Sector of community services and environmental development at Alexandria University especially in relation to health. He is recognized as WHO expert in cardiovascular disease prevention and a member of REN for RHD control. He is the Chief consultant of Occupational medicine for the Noth Delta Devision of health insurance. Also, he is the academic advisor for the military medical academy in occupational cardiology.

His research interests are mainly in relation to preventive cardiology among the productive sector of the community, as well as insuring a healthy generation of children through early detection and prevention of RHD among them. He is interested in advocation for healthy lifestyle with emphasis on controlling atherosclerotic risk factors. He has many papers and supervised many research projects and theses in occupational cardiology.

He is a Professor of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery Unit, Assiut University Hospitals, Egypt. He was Consultant and Chief at Saudi German Hospital, Jeddah, KSA (9/2007-9/2010). Dr. Hassan Fehmi, is currently the Service Chief of Nephrology & Hypertension at the Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Born and raised in Lebanon, he received his Residency Training in Internal Medicine at the Michigan State University Program, and completed a Fellowship in Nephrology & Hypertension at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Fehmi joined the faculty of Henry Ford Hospital as a Senior Staff Physician in the Department of Medicine. His academic interests and work include Home Dialysis Modalities, the Mineral and Bone Disorders in Chronic Kidney Disease, Telemedicine and Connected Health, and the application of the Lean methodologies in healthcare.

Dr. Fehmi serves on several committees and boards within and outside the Henry Ford Health System, and is involved in various initiatives ranging from scientific and research projects, to Diversity in the workplace and community outreach. As Director of Medical Education at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Dr Fehmi established the Annual Connected Health Symposium hosting national and international speakers both from various academic institutions and Healthcare Industry, and covering numerous themes where health and wellness intersect with AI, connectivity and IOT.

Dr. Fehmi is a member of the Board of Directors at Eversight International, the Medical Advisory Board of Greenfield Health Systems, the Advisory Board of the Michigan National Kidney Foundation, the Annual ACCESS Conference on Health Issues in Arab Communities Scientific Board, and the Steering Committee of Global Health Research Management & Solutions.

Dr. Fehmi is actively engaged in several professional societies and organizations, he is a Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation, and a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. As a longtime member of the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA), he served in different positions; as former Chapter President, a National Vice President, a former chair of the Liaison Committee for Arab America, the Scientific Committee, and as the NAAMA CME Director. He also chaired and co-chaired several NAAMA national and international conferences and Symposia. Dr. Fehmi is the current Chairman of NAAMA Foundation.

Prof. Dr. Ayman F. Abou-Hadid, Emeritus professor, faculty of Agriculture, professor, Arid Lands Agricultural studies and Research Institute, Ain Shams University. He graduated from Cairo University, faculty of Agriculture. Throughout his academic career, Professor Abou-Hadid has been seconded to several other National Duties including being appointed as Minister of Agriculture in four Cabinets, President of the Agricultural Research Center, chairman of the Egyptian Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops, and Executive President of the Egyptian Environmental Affair Agency. Dr. Tarek El-Araby participated in the design of the national network for monitoring air pollutants and was the director of the network for eleven years. Dr. Mohamed Mohie El-Din Moussa Makhlouf is a Professor of Geriatric Health at The High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University. He has graduated from The Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University; from which he also got his master’s degree in Internal Medicine. His PhD of Public/Geriatric Health was awarded from The High Institute of Public Health. He developed his academic career until he became an academic professor. His major areas of interest are Public Health, Internal and Geriatric Medicine, and elderly care. He also worked in The Ministries of Interior and Defense in KSA, Dubai Health Authority, and Primary Health Care in Qatar. His work was a mix of postgraduate education and training in Geriatric Health and Community Medicine, he was conducting and participating in community programs, research, and geriatric clinical practice. He participated in Home Health Care Programs in KSA, Dubai and was the head of the Strategy Committee for Home Care during the development of the National Strategy for Primary Health Care Corporation in Qatar. She is currently a Public Health and Monitoring & Evaluation expert. She Had Professional Experience as an M&E Senior Officer for John Snow, Inc. in Cairo, Egypt. Walaa El Meidany currently works as a lecturer at the Nutrition department, High Institute of Public Health. Studied a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Master and Ph.D. degree in public health (Nutrition). She does research in Nutrition for autistic children, pregnant women, and newborns. She is concerned with maternal nutrition and child nutritional health, very interested in neutraceuticals as the future medicine. She has been working as a Medical Researcher at United States Naval Medical Research Unit #3 (NAMRU-3) since 2009, in which she was involved in several research projects in collaboration with West African and Middle East countries. Professor Assaad obtained fellowships in endocrinology at the MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, USA, and Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He was elected as fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1996.

Professor Assaad is an assistant editor of the Journal of the Egyptian Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes. He is a member in a number of associations, including the Endocrine Society (USA), European Society of Endocrinology, and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.

He is currently a professor of Internal Medicine and Diabetes, Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, Egypt.

Professor El Kafrawy was head of Internal Medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University from August 2011 till July 2014. He was also Head of Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University from 2014 till 2017.

He is a board member in a number of associations, including the Egyptian Society of Diabetes and Lipidology, and the Mediterranean Group for Study of Diabetes (MGSD) 2014 till 2019.

Professor El Kafrawy was coordinator and participant of The Egyptian Clinical Practice Recommendations for Diabetes Mellitus 2009 in company with The Ministry of Health Population. He is a member of the National Committee of Diabetes (Ministry of Health and Population) 2014 till now, and supervisor of Meet Million Seha Project in Alexandria, Behera and Menoufia governorates.

He is currently a professor of Internal Medicine at the Unit of Diabetes & Metabolism, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. He is also an Honorary Lecturer of Diabetes Medicine, at Cardiff University, UK contributing to the Diabetes Diploma Program and several other educational activities.

Prof. Megallaa had his post-Doctoral training at Rosalind Franklin University (Chicago, Illinois), then at Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio) in USA during 2006 and 2007. After he returned home, he contributed, with his colleagues, in establishing the first “Diabetic Foot Center” at Alexandria University.

Prof. Megallaa is currently sharing in translational research, with the support of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), exploring the impact of diabetes education on the prevention of lower extremity amputation in diabetes.

He is currently a professor of Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetes and the head of the Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetes Unit at the University of Alexandria Children’s Hospital, Faculty of medicine, Alexandria University.

Prof. El Awwa was a Consultant and Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship Program Director, Hamad Medical Corporation /Sidra during 2015 -2021. He was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar during 2012 -2021.
